Im a retired trucker. I delivered everday in Elkhart and surrounding areas. Me and the wife saw first hand what was happening. The pre covid workers bailed and took the government money forcing the manufacturers to hire anyone they could get. The demand for campers was astronomical. Lots were full ever where waiting on delivery. They are not going to repair or replace if possible. Its simply a numbers game now. So moral of the story. Do NOT BUY from 2020 to 2023 model years of any camper. Simple.

This is why my buddy went out and bought a brand new box truck and literally built it himself. He had issues too. I don’t know the brand but it seems like if you want something nowadays you have to build it yourself. The quality is out of control. They probably mailed them the letter because they probably have a stack of them that they mail out to people and it’s easier to mail out a letter that’s already been printed up, that’s probably how many complaints they have

Where is the list that shows which manufactures are not addressing warranty problems

I believe it is repairable, and yes from what I could see, it is a structural issue. Even if it wasn’t a structural problem, at the price point she paid, Thor should do the repair without delay. Maybe it is time to take legal action. If Thor reads this (which I doubt) why would you treat your customer base so poorly. She bought her RV in good faith, trusting Thor Manufacturing would deliver a problem free vehicle, or honor the warranty for its repair. It is time to do the right thing. The structure didn’t “fail”….. this is a manufacturing defect and somehow it slipped past the Quality Assurance inspector, that is, if you even have someone like this on the payroll.

It would be good if you also mentioned taking down serial numbers, installing tracking devices, maybe getting a dog. There are basic precautions that are necessary in 2024. A cable lock is even worse than nothing bc it gives a false sense of security. Many people install camera systems which are worthless bc the video quality and or interface with computers and displays is subpar. Bad actors are everywhere now for one reason- no fear of retribution or punishment by authorities and no fear of accountability because so many people travel without any weapons on hand.

Your buying cardboard boxes and dragging it around the country! It's called camping. These things were never built to be a house on wheels. If it was meant to be lived in like a house, it wouldn't be called a recreational vehicle.

This is so sad. I am so very sorry for these people. Even if they had submitted the problems properly for the so called "Warranty" issues this company would have still rejected the claim. This RV manufacturer is PATHETIC!! Would not even give this couple 5k on problems that should have never left the factory with.

I would think nowadays…the goal in life is to simplify how you go about living….after 6 r.v.,s…..there has to be an easier way to go about your days! Nice couple….but…….a lot of those problems where there when it was bought…shame on them for not seeing it before they bought it….if it was there first one…you can understand it happening….but 6??

Because it's pretty much brand new, it should be covered under normal consumer protections. This is negligence on the part of the manufacturer.

All large companies and corporations are predators. They merge and do take overs of their competitors to monopolize their industry. Appliances are an example. With all the different brand names, they are owned by one or several corporations. I still have a Kenmore refrigerator that is over 40 years old and only had to replace the door seals once. Recently, I purchased a second refrigerator, and after the warranty expired (2 years), the fridge would not cool. Being an electrician, I isolated the problem (a plastic component) and replaced it for $45. But if called a repair man. I'm sure it would have caused close to a couple of hundred of $$$. Products are made, not to last, but to break down after the warranty expires. It's how these monopolized companies make postive cash flow.😮

Spread the word about this crappy company and PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!!

These RV companies should be ashamed of themselves making such shoddy RVs. This channel has totally turned me off from RVing with all the nightmares and safety issues.

I think I’lljust be buying an enclosed trailer and remodel it to a camper myself. At least it will be done correctly and I won’t have to worry every day if some manufacturer employees just didn’t hook the brakes up or seal the roof properly.

In my experience all campers and rv's are junk.

Lis u are a wonderful person for bringing all this out into the open now that being said why in the hell would anyone go out and buy this garbage in the first place I've been watching u for over two years now and its nothing but one horror story after the next I've been looking for almost three years now at every thing under the sun has far as rv go and from a $15.000 dollars all.the way up to $125.000 and they are all just garbage i no you are doing every thing you can to help people you really are amazing my dear but this has too stop this in my opinion lays right at the manufacturer front door thats it know more excuses from them it is clear that management doesn't care one way or the other and we both know that the owners don't give a dam at all as long as their filling their pocket with people hard earned money this really is making me so very angry that they are getting away with all this when people are working so hard to save money so when they retire they can go out buy a rv and try to enjoy their golden years without putting up with this BS ok again you are one hell of a person LIZ God-bless you my dear keep up the fight an stay safe

I am really late to this party but I will add my two cents in anyway. First off, thank God you were able to walk away from this accident. What happened to you is not unusual and the outcomes are sometimes much worse. Second, I am glad you have been able to diagnose the problem because some folks just don’t ever get it and remain an accident waiting to happen. I have been a driving instructor for most of the last 40-years teaching everything from beginning drivers to CDL drivers to RV drivers. When it comes time to talk about sway I always say that as a driver you will at some point experience the tail wagging the dog. It doesn’t matter if you are towing a bumper pull trailer, a 5th wheel, or a moho. If you are out on the road long enough you will experience sway. Knowing you will experience sway the best thing to do is to prepare to deal with it before it gets bad. The first thing to do when the tail starts wagging the dog is to do what I call pulling the string straight. To do that you need the front to pull forward and the rear to pull backwards. You do that by staying steady on the throttle awhile manually applying the trailer brakes. Once the string is straight and the tail is no longer trying to wag the dog you can then get off the throttle and slow down. Slowing down is probably the easiest thing to do to reduce sway. I once saw a Toyota pickup towing a very large toy hauler at a very high rate of speed. I was traveling at 72 MPH and the Toyota was catching up to me very quickly. My first thought was he was going way to fast. Any situation on the road becomes progressively worse the faster you go. My second thought was the truck looked like it was pretty puny for the task at hand. The net payload determines how much trailer you can tow and not the trailer tow rating. My third thought was he was an accident waiting to happen. And it happened right before my eyes. He hit a tough patch of highway. Because of the speed he was traveling it upset the trailer and got it rocking. The driver did the absolute worst thing he could have done, he slammed on his brakes. The trailer swayed back and forth twice, each time the trailer almost hit the corners of the truck. On the third sway the trailer went top over tea kettle taking the Toyota for quite a ride. He ended up in the median with the trailer on its side with the roof facing me and the Toyota wax on its side eith the bottom facing me. From the time the trailer took the first swing to when it was in the ditch took about 10-seconds. As you so clearly articulated, knowing how to manually apply the trailer brakes should be a priority for every person who tows a trailer. Again, I am glad you were able to walk away with very few injuries. God Luck and Happy Trsils to you.

Do not buy new Trailers/RV's. Too many different venders and too many different warranties. You are hundreds of miles from the purchasing dealer when problems start to happen. They just want to blame the different venders they hire to build these trailers.

Note to Self: NEVER buy an INTREPID

Unfortunately, it's not Darren that's going to be doing the work. It's the employees. And there's a real problem finding competent, quality help, no matter how much you pay them. That's the exact problem the mfg's are having from what I've been told. It's chaos. I'd say, keep things simple. Don't buy some outlandish space shuttle on wheels that has the potential of having a million different problems. Keep it simple. One doesn't need a penthouse to RV.

Hey Tiffin you will never ever get my business again. I have purchased your so called luxury Rv's and they are crap. This intimidation seals the deal. I am sharing and posting this content everywhere.

I have a Vanleigh 5th wheel also made by Tiffin and within a year started experiencing hydraulic hoses rupturing and draining hydraulic fluid out. I received no help whatsoever from the Tiffin manufacturer or Lippert who made the system. Don't be afraid of these bullies but make sure you protect yourself legally. For what should be a luxury brand Tiffin has many problems.

You say that you assumed that with bright lights and a "public" locale, a thief wouldn't dare try to steal a bike. But you know, sometimes the visibility of a location can actually work against you, since a thief would figure that anyone seeing him taking the bike would assume it was indeed the thief's legitimate property because "a real thief wouldn't dare try to steal anything in a well-lit place like that". Not everyone seeing someone coming up and taking something is gonna automatically try to stop them or call security, either.

Most businesses would be so embarrassed and ashamed at this level of workmanship they'd call a staff meeting and fire everybody who put a hand on that trailer during its construction. Then they would fix the trailer and change their company name to try to hide from the lingering stench.

Attention everyone... Stay clear of Riverside.. Don't get within 10 yards of a new , used , or any other product of this company... No one can say " we have not been warned " ... Thank you for your content 🙏.
